“No” to protectionism – CCT’s membership in the CHKD Consulting Pool

The 26thof March was a big day for the china-taskforce of the international networks team, and an equally exciting event for the other members of our junior enterprise. The 4thannual “China Day” took place at the European School of Management and Technology (ESMT) and hosted numerous political guests as well as representatives of leading Sino-German corporations. It marks the beginning of a unique cooperation with the Chinese Chamber of Commerce in Germany (CHKD), and gives rise to the opportunity to provide advisory services in the form of new, innovative and challenging projects to Chinese clients looking to establish themselves on the German market.

The CHKD supports Chinese firms by helping them build networks in Germany and take root on the German market. Founded by leading Chinese firms, it is the first country-wide advocacy bureau for firms looking to cooperate with German counterparts, and now boasts over 300 member firms. During 2019 edition of the “China Day”, consultants of the CCT participated in an exchange about “the new normalityof Chinese-German economic cooperation”, taking the chance to listen to the words of the new ambassador of China, H.E. Wu Ken, as well as networking with various German and Chinese enterprises.

As a pioneer of junior enterprises within Germany, the CCT is not only continually breaking barriers; doing so by being the first junior enterprise to become a member of the CHKDs “Consulting Network”, but also facilitating an intercultural exchange between students and Chinese companies. We are decidedly saying “No” to protectionism, instead choosing to support and facilitate a friendly and open environment for Chinese enterprises to invest and develop in Germany.
